DIAVENA participates in the international food quality competition International Taste & Quality organized by iTQi in Brussels. Product Di alba tuna in olive oil 200g. was awarded a gold star.

The International Taste & Quality Institute – iTQi, based in Brussels, is the world’s leading organization dedicated to testing and promoting superior food and drink.

iTQi judges are selected from the 15 most prestigious European culinary associations. Products are blind tested through a rigorous sensory analysis process by large panels. Thus, the product fights to evaluate its taste qualities in front of more than 200 chefs and sommeliers from the most prestigious European culinary associations.

                                                                       

How are products rated?

Assessments are performed blindly and in complete silence. The jury members never see the packaging and know neither the brand name nor the names of the manufacturers.

Chefs and sommeliers do not make judgments based on their intuition; they follow an objective methodology based on the 5 international criteria for hedonic sensory analysis (AFNOR XP V096A standards) – first impression, sight, smell, taste and texture (for food) or final sensation (for beverages).

Products achieving an overall score of over 70% in sensory evaluations receive the Superior Taste Award.

                                                                                              

The Superior Taste Award is a unique international recognition widely recognized in the Food & Bev industry. This is probably the most prestigious taste certificate in the world!
