We have accepted it as our responsibility to constantly improve and protect the quality of our production. Our certification under the international food industry safety and quality standard IFS (International Featured Standards) is proof of this responsibility. What does IFS mean? It is a guarantee that every product that reaches you has undergone strict quality control. From the selection of ingredients to the packaging, every stage is secured and verified.

Over the years, our production has also been additionally certified under a number of other international standards, meaning that we not only follow global high-quality standards, but exceed them—so you can be confident that what you eat is not only delicious but absolutely safe.

The Dolphin Safe certificates ensure that the raw materials we receive are caught using systems that protect and safeguard dolphins.

Our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates guarantee the implementation of an environmental management system and a health & safety management system in the workplace.
In addition, our products have been repeatedly awarded and recognized by both Bulgarian and international independent organizations for their excellent quality, high standards, and innovativeness.

The quality of our canned products is not just a priority—it is at the heart of every step. Each batch of our canned goods undergoes detailed testing in our in-house laboratory. But we don’t stop there—we also use independent accredited external laboratories that perform regular checks.
Over time, we have developed and perfected our processes for producing high-quality canned products. Now we have set our sights on a new challenge: making every aspect of our production not only efficient but also sustainable.
All our raw materials are sourced from reliable and certified suppliers. We choose only those partners who understand how important it is to invest in the future of the oceans. Each of them follows traceability systems and sustainable fishing methods that do not disrupt the marine balance. Through our tracking system, we can trace for every product when the fish was caught, in which fishing zone and country of origin, how and when it was delivered to us, when the product was manufactured, and its journey to the final consumer.
Our packaging is recyclable and suitable for repeated use. Each package is designed with minimal environmental impact in mind. With every opened can, we provide not only a delicious experience but also the reassurance that you’re making a choice in favor of the planet.
A large part of the energy we use is generated by us. 60% of the electricity that powers our production comes from our installation of 420 solar panels. This significantly reduces our carbon footprint and supports a cleaner environment.

At Diavena, we believe that responsibility should not apply only to the products we create, but also to the people who create them. We are proud that we regularly pass the strict audits of the SMETA certificate (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) – a global standard for social responsibility that ensures we are an ethical and responsible employer. This proves that Diavena is not only a leader in producing high-quality fish conserves, but also a responsible employer who takes care of its people.
