Certified to the Highest Quality Standards
At the core of our mission is a commitment to continuously improve and safeguard the quality of our production. Our certification under the IFS (International Featured Standards) for safety and quality in the food industry reflects this dedication.
What does IFS stand for? It ensures that every product reaching you has undergone strict quality control. From selecting ingredients to final packaging, every step is thoroughly monitored and verified.
Over the years, we’ve not only met but exceeded global quality standards by obtaining additional international certifications. This means you can trust that what you’re eating is not only delicious but also completely safe.
Dolphin Safe certification guarantees that the raw materials we use are sourced through methods that protect dolphins.
Furthermore, our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications attest to the implementation of an environmental management system and an occupational health and safety management system, respectively.
Our products have consistently been awarded and recognized by both Bulgarian and international organizations for their outstanding quality, high standards, and innovation.
Commitment to Quality Control
Quality isn’t just a priority—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Every batch of our products undergoes thorough testing in our dedicated laboratory. To ensure the highest standards, we also collaborate with independent, accredited laboratories for regular external testing, guaranteeing unbiased and comprehensive quality checks.
Sustainably Crafted Quality
As we’ve perfected our processes to produce high-quality canned goods, we’ve embraced a new challenge: ensuring that every aspect of our production is not only efficient but also sustainable.
How do we make this happen?
Responsibly Sourced Raw Materials
We carefully select all of our raw materials from certified, trustworthy suppliers who are committed to the long-term health of the oceans. Our partners follow traceability systems and sustainable fishing practices that help preserve the marine environment.
With our traceability system, we monitor every step of our products’ journey—from the moment the fish is caught, including its catch area and country of origin, to when it arrives at our facility, is processed, and finally reaches the consumer.
Recyclable Packaging
Our packaging is both recyclable and reusable, designed to minimize its environmental footprint. With every can you open, you’re not only enjoying a delicious product, but also making an eco-friendly choice that helps protect the planet.
Our Energy Production
A significant portion of the energy we use is generated on-site. In fact, 60% of the electricity powering our production comes from our installation of 420 solar panels. This greatly reduces our carbon footprint and contributes to a cleaner, greener environment.
Commitment to Our Employees
At Diavena, our responsibility goes beyond the products we create—it extends to the people who make them. Every employee deserves to work in a safe environment with opportunities for growth and development.
We are proud to regularly meet the rigorous standards of the SMETA certification (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), a global benchmark for social responsibility. This demonstrates that Diavena is not only a leader in high-quality canned fish production but also a responsible employer who genuinely cares about its workforce.
